A Writer's Story
I write about money because most financial guidance leaves out the human element.
Much of today’s advice assumes ideal circumstances and rational decision-making, while ignoring fear and the reality that many people are navigating their financial lives on their own. That gap between professional advice and lived experience is where my work lives, and it’s the foundation of my forthcoming book.
I write with the understanding that money decisions are never just about numbers. My work spans investing, retirement planning, and financial independence, with a focus on people who don’t see themselves reflected in traditional financial narratives.
Writing allows me to slow the conversation down. It’s where I explore ideas more deeply, challenge conventional wisdom, and speak directly to readers. My aim is to make financial education thoughtful, accessible, and human.
The Teacher

There aren’t many people that look like *me* in this field. I know what it feels like to be the only one in the room, at a conference or at the table. I know just how important it is to diversify the next generation of Financial Advisors because the clients sitting across from us at the table want to see faces just as diverse as they are.
I have a goal. I want to replicate myself ten times before I retire in this profession - meaning that I want women and people of color to become Financial Advisors.
I also love educating financial professionals and will teach classes for Financial Advisors. I have been a part of panels, fireside chats and I give talks for Financial Professionals.
